$ 18.75

Great 6" Green Pad for applying finish to Trim, Decks, Concrete and Floors. Fast and easy way to apply a uniform coating and to quickly backbrush a deck at the end of the day.

Fits on a pole or use by hand.

INTERIOR WOOD FLOORS AND FURNITURE: Handy 6" floor finish mop that works well for quickly applying both a film and a penetrating oil to trim and floors. Can also be used to apply wood floor stain or concrete stain. A dry pad can be used to back brush surfaces and even out penetrating oils or stains and to work the material into highly figured woods.

LIME CLEAN: The Green pad works good for applying a nice even coat of Lime Clean to long flat boards and sometimes it's ideal for spindles if they are flat. However, it is not a scrub brush. Liming wood is done best with a good quality stiff bristle brush, not a pad.

EXTERIOR USE: For exterior decks, trim and siding it is best to use on smooth or semi smooth surfaces. Rough surfaces may harm the pad. Brushes work better on rough surfaces. This 6" pad is ideal for deck and flat boards that need to be stained and backbrushed. However, rolling material into a deck and using a brush on the end of a poled is still the best way to work deck stains into cracks and crevices. But for fast work on the flat, having one of the pads in the arsenal is serious time saver.

DECK STAINING PAD: On decks and siding we brush or roll the product onto the surface evenly and then work into the wood with the pad, leaving little to no product on the surface of the wood; thus "staining" the wood fiber cell and not leaving a film on the surface.

STAINING WOOD FLOORS: We use the pad to apply the stain in a nice even, and thin coat. If the floor is large, we use the tbar to apply the stain and then a dry tbar is used to even the stain out, sometimes a tshirt or smooth cloth, is used over the tbar to develop an certain artistic look on wood floor stains. There are many techniques that professionals develop over their careers. The 6" Pad is simply a good tool for certain areas.

Mountain XT Clear 00: Use the pad to apply a thin even coat. Wash with Pure Citrus Solvent or Earth Clean. If using Earth Clean for oil based clean up, use 10% in Water Wash Bucket and dry thoroughly, 100% dry, before using the pad w oils. Never put watery pads into oils. See prep below...

PAINT APPLICATOR: Some people like to use the pad to cut in corners. It is very fast for this type work and can be easy to create a straight edge.

PREP: Rinse  well before use to remove any dust, hairs or loose fibers. To rinse use either solvent or water depending on what coating is being used. For instance, NanoTech is water based so we would rinse the pad well with water and squeeze dry with a towel before use. For oil based coatings such as Bio Poly Natural or Mountain, we use Pure Citrus Solvent for rinsing and cleaning the pad. This rule applies to all floor finish pads. All floor finish pads require a "break in" period. Usually, the first coat is sufficient to achieve this.

AVOID: Rough woods with splinters, dirty wood.
